Lessen the appearance of Cellulite

Cellulite is one problem that all women have these days, no matter your size, age or lifestyle. Cellulite occurs due to problems/imbalance in the connective tissue and fat in a person’s body. Hormones, diet, lifestyle and genetics all play a role in the cause of cellulite.

I have researched some natural remedies that will help balance the connective tissue/ fat in the body and address the possible causes.


  1. Coconut Oil and Dry Brushing;

Dry skin brushing is so effective because it tightens the epidermis and helps to breakup the toxic material. It also helps stimulate blood and lymph flow in the body. Dry brushing should be done twice daily, the best time to do it when you are in the shower before you turn on the water.

Direction: Always brush towards the heart. Making long sweeps, try to avoid doing back and forth, scrubbing and circular motions. Start at your feet and then move up to your legs, do both sides and then move up to your arms, then go from your arms towards your chest. After you have finished dry brushing, have a hot shower and then use coconut oil as a moisturiser for an immediate boost to skin health.

  1. Stay Hydrated:

You need to drink enough water so that your body can effectively break down cellulite. A lot of toxins are stowed away in your fat cells. When cellulite is broken down, any contaminants that are stored there will be released back into your body, to flush the toxins out of your body you will need to drink plenty of water.

  1. Coffee Scrub:

Use a coffee scrub for 10 minutes twice per week on areas where you have cellulite. You should start to see results after 4 weeks, if you keep up with regular treatments.

  1. Birch Oil:

Use birch oil on affected areas to strengthen skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite. Apply birch oil daily after having a bath or a shower.

  1. Rose Hip Oil:

Is a potent source of vitamin A and fatty acids and is an awesome moisturiser that also promotes strong, healthy skin. Use rose hip oil regularly to give your skin greater elasticity that can greatly reduce the appearance of cellulite.

  1. Self Massage:

This is an excellent cure for cellulite, as it stimulates blood flow and breaks up toxins stored in cellulite. Massage can also help the body to metabolise fat cells, by reducing their size and making them less noticeable.
